ROOTED AND FREE

If there are moments when everything feels rushed, remember that you are free to seek out areas of your life where you can breathe and unwind… and as you do, you can develop a gentle attitude toward growth.

When you start to embrace ease in this way, you will find that you will continue to grow naturally, even when you are not thinking about it. Upward movement can take place without constant pressure. The possibility of what could be still exists, even when you are learning to hold things loosely, like a willow tree with strong roots.

The willow tree grows in many ways, with countless leaves that sway in the wind. Its roots reach deep, and its canopy flows gracefully. Just as a tree grows many leaves and branches, may this be a reminder to keep growing in all the little ways by paying attention and finding meaning right here.

Breathe deeply, grow toward the sun, and thrive with a mix of sun and water, as the willow does. Keep nurturing your growth and take note of how far you've come with strong roots and flowing branches. This is the art of embracing ease, like a willow in the wind: rooted deeply and reaching high, coming alive in the winds.

It is possible to flourish without the constant pressure, by allowing your roots to settle deeply while your leaves dance freely.

You are allowed to be a grounded dreamer. A wandering planner. A patient maker. Someone with strong roots and branches that are flexible in the changing winds. Feeling all of this at once doesn’t automatically mean you’re just “all over the place.” Perhaps, instead, like a willow tree you can still experience steadiness even as you move through it all. Inhaling and exhaling, patient through time, growing steady with the seasons.

More tomorrow…
Sincerely,
