  • How to Redeem Gift Code?

    Step 1: Download The Storyteller App

    For IOS users, head to the AppStore, and for Android users, visit Google Play. Download and install The Storyteller by MHN on your device.

    Step 2: Access Settings

    Launch The Storyteller App and navigate to the lower right corner of the screen. You'll find a settings icon—click on it to proceed.

    Step 3: Subscribe to The Storyteller

    Within the Settings menu, locate and click on the "Subscribe Now" button. This will guide you to the subscription options available.

    Step 4: Redeem Gift Code

    Locate the bottom of the screen and look for the "Redeem Gift Code" option within the subscription menu. Click on it to enter the gift code provided to you.

    Step 5: Enter Gift Code and Redeem

    A screen will prompt you to enter the gift code. Type in the code exactly as provided. Once entered, click the "Redeem Now" button to finalize the process.

  • Will I be auto-charged for a subscription after the 7 day trial ends?

    Once your trial ends there is no auto-subscribe or auto-charge and the free trial content will always remain available to you in the app. Please be assured you won't be automatically charged for anything (I don't roll that way!) but feel free to subscribe to get more daily messages and wallpaper art from me each and every day and support the work that I do.

  • How do I get the FREE Daily Encouragement Notifications each day?

    This feature is free for every person that has the Storyteller App installed and notifications turned on. No subscription to the app is required to receive this feature. Even after the free trial expires, you will still receive the Daily Notifications, as long as the Storyteller App is installed on your device.

    1. Make sure to update the app in the App Store or Google Play Store to the most recent version.

    2. In the App, tap the Setting icon on the bottom right of the menu navigation

    3. Scroll down and tap “Notifications”

    4. Enable “Daily Encouragement Notifications”

    5. Please enjoy this “always free” feature.

  • Can I set a reminder for each day's message?

    Yep! You sure can!

    • On the main menu select the 'settings' button located on the lower-right corner of your screen.

    • Click 'Notifications'

    • Turn on the 'Daily Reminder'

    • You can also change the time for your daily reminder right beside the toggle button

    So easy huh?

  • Can I highlight and share the text from a devotion?

    You can totally highlight a sentence that you like on each devotions! What's best is that you can choose what color to use as your highlight. Amazing, right?

    Click on the sentence that you want to highlight and a color palette will show up. You can now then select which color do you want to use as your highlighter.

    With sharing, you can only share the whole devotions and not just the sentence by clicking on the 'share' button located on the upper-right corner of the screen.

  • I have a valid subscription, but new messages haven't shown up for a while. Help!

    Update the App:

    • Ensure Storyteller App is updated from the App Store.

    • Restore Purchases:

    In the app, go to Menu > Account Settings.

    • Click "Restore Purchase."

    • Logout and Restore:

    Log out (Menu > Logout).

    • Log back in and click "Restore Purchase."

    • Uninstall and Reinstall:

    Remove the app, reinstall from the App Store.

    • Log in and click "Restore Purchase."

    • Reboot and Restart:

    Reboot your phone.

    • Launch the app and click "Restore Purchase."

  • [ANDROID] Can't seem to purchase a subscription.

    1. Confirm if you are using the default system font sizes on your device or if you have changed them (to make them look larger) in your system settings? This is a common issue that forces the subscribe buttons off the screen on the subscribe pages (Menu> Shop > Subscribe)

    2. If it is indeed the Display Font size, please temporarily change it back to the default/smallest setting, then subscribe in the App and then feel free to change the display font size back to a larger font again for your convenience.

  • How Do I Get The Daily Encouragement Notifications?

    This feature is free for every person that has the Storyteller App installed and notifications turned on. No subscription to the app is required to receive this feature, even after the free trial expires, you will still receive the Daily Notifications, as long as the Storyteller App is installed on your device.

    1 - Update the app in the App Store or Google Play Store

    2 - In the App, Tap: Menu button > Notifications > Daily Encouragement and turn it "On"

    3 - The premium feature (longer daily messages and wallpapers) is free for the first 7 days, but even after it expires, the notifications will still be FREE!

  • I can't register and a JSON error is showing on my App!

    Worry not! We can totally help you with that. You can follow these steps below:

    1. Please check your The Storyteller App if it is on its latest version.

    2. Kindly try to uninstall and re-install your App.

    3. Lastly, if you can try to restart your device.

    4. Another thing you could try is to turn off your wifi and use your cell data to register.

  • How do I write a journal?

    You can write your journal for each devotion each day by going through the whole devotion and scrolling to the bottom part. Once you click the 'Begin Journaling' under the Journal Prompt, you can then write your journal for that day.

    Note: You can even add a title for your journal! 

  • How do I change my subscription?

    To change your subscription from monthly to yearly or vice versa, just follow these steps:

    • Launch the App Store app and navigate to the Today tab.

    •  Tap your Apple ID icon in the top right. Make sure this is the same Apple ID you used to purchase the subscription. If not, tap the button, select Sign Out and sign in with the Apple ID you used to purchase the subscription.

    • If you’re not already signed in, you will see a Sign In button. Tap the button, select Use Existing Apple ID and sign in with the Apple ID you used to purchase the subscription.

    • Tap on the line and select and view your Apple ID. (You may be prompted for your Apple ID password at this point.)

    • Scroll down and tap Subscriptions> tap Pocket Fuel.

    • You will see the available subscription options under the Options section

    • If you are subscribed to the Monthly plan, the "Daily Messages for 1 month” option will be selected

    • If you are subscribed to the Yearly plan, the "Daily Messages for 1 year” option will be selected.

    •  Tap the subscription category for which you want to subscribe to.

    •  You'll receive a confirmation message; tap OK to confirm your choice.
