LEARNING TO FLY, ANYWAY
Through all that seems to shift around you, here's to learning to fly, anyway.
While tomorrow holds many unknowns, perhaps the rhythm of your flight is still forming. A kind of lifting and landing through life’s changes that doesn’t require having everything figured out at once. It might not look like clarity, but rhythm can begin even before understanding arrives. Like a butterfly fluttering before it soars, perhaps you can also carry onward in your own way, even before it makes sense.
This is rhythm before knowing. In a world that gives you more shifting weather than solid answers, you are still learning to rise, to rest, to notice, to think, to feel. One breath at a time. Like the butterfly carried and tested by the wind, you find your way as things change. That too is part of how you take shape in the world.
Even in this shifting space, each moment you are alive (wings fully open or not) is a quiet act of participation. Whether moving or still, you are part of the rhythm. The air turns, the light shifts, the leaves respond. Peace can feel far away when the wind won’t hold still, and you don’t know what part of you is allowed to rest. But the ground is still beneath you. The sky is still above.
You don’t need to have it all figured out to be worthy of gentleness, or of the sunlight that still touches the leaves. Even slow learning belongs here. And when you let yourself feel the edges of this terrain, the pressure to already know the map starts to soften.
To breathe at all out here is its own kind of peace. A kind of flight. Even now. Even here. A rhythm is forming. One moment at a time.
Smallness does not mean you are insignificant. Even a single wingbeat shifts the air.
More tomorrow…
Sincerely,
